Pabna Textile Engineering College is a renowned technical university located in Pabna, Bangladesh, who academically is operated by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Rajshahi University.



History



During the British colonial rule in 1915, founded to meet a school of weaving in Pabna textile technical education, offering artisan level course. He was named Pabna Govt. Weaving School. Bengal Governor then British Government to visit the institution on January 25, 1926. Updated to Pabna District Textile Institute offering certificate Textile Technology in 1980 to two-year program. In 1994 the institute was promoted to corporal three year diploma course in Textile Engineering under Bangladesh Technical Education Board. The Prime Minister of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh decided this setting B.Sc. Upgrading Faculty of Textile Engineering in 2006 providing four year Bachelor of Textile Engineering affiliation with the University of Rajshahi and Pabna Textile Engineering renamed College.At this Pabna Textile Engineering College under the "Jute and Textiles Ministry" relationship with the "Bangladesh University of Textile ".

General Admission procedure and admission requirements:

Admission to Pabna Textile Engineering College is very competitive and have high academic performance in SSC and HSC level. The selection of students for admission is made through admission test of 200 marks and considering GPA of SSC and HSC (Details on the Bulletin Board) student is given the opportunity to participate on the basis of merit. The entry requirements for admission test are:
01. Students must Bangladesh by birth.
02. Passed SSC (Science) with GPA 3.50 (without fourth subject) in any discipline.
03. Past HSC (Science) or equivalent examination of the academic year to obtain at least 3.5 GPA and average at least GP 4.00 but individually not below 3.0 in physics, chemistry and mathematics. Only students in 2009 and 2010 approved may apply.

According to the rules for O-level students and a level

01. Must pass at Grade B in an average of five subjects.
02. In the A-level examination to students grade B have in mathematics, physics and chemistry.
03. No grade D is allowed in a subject.
