Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University is a government-funded public university in Bangladesh. It is named after the charismatic, legendary country's political leader Maulana Bhashani. This university is the first of its kind in the public universities in Bangladesh. The official language is English. To ensure better academic environment, there is no provision for any political activity on the part of teachers, students and school staff.

Each year, approximately 500 students enrolled in undergraduate programs to study at this institution. The total number of teachers is about 80. The University has continued to grow in recent years. This includes the construction of a new academic building, several student lounges, etc.


The divine power lies in the understanding of science and technology application. Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University will provide you with the knowledge of proper combination of science and technology to get them prepared for the challenges of the 21st century its students. MBSTU students have not only scientific knowledge but also the norm and values ​​to full social people all the obstacles of society would break and it leads to a better, because they are influenced by become the vision of the spiritual philosopher and the leader of the leaders - Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani. Therefore MBSTU students are well prepared to meet the challenges of daily life faced everywhere.


General Admission procedure and admission requirements:


Admission to MBSTU  is very competitive and have high academic performance in SSC and HSC level. The selection of students for admission is made through admission test of 200 marks and considering GPA of SSC and HSC (Details on the Bulletin Board) student is given the opportunity to participate on the basis of merit.

Admission Requirements
1. Applicants who passed SSC or equivalent in 2009/2010 and HSC or equivalent in 2011/2012 are eligible to apply.

2. Applicants must have total GPA 6.5 (without 4th subjects) and not less than GPA 3.0 (without 4th subject) in each of SSC, HSC or equivalent exam.

3. Applicants from Science Group can apply for A, B, C, D Unit and Business & Arts Group can apply for D Unit.

4. Applicants who Interested in A Unit must have GP 3.0 in Physics & Mathematics, B Unit must have GP 3.00 in Chemistry & Biology and C Unit must have GP 3.00 in Chemistry, Physics & Mathematics.

5. GCE O-level candidates must pass 5 subjects with B grade in 3 subjects & A-level candidates must pass 3 subjects with B grade in 2 subjects.

After sending acceptance SMS Tk.550 will be charged from candidates Mobile phone. If applicants have enough money in mobile phone then certain money will be charged and send a confirmation sms with roll number. If applicants send confirmation sms then they could not cancel the application.

Applicants for quota: The child of freedom fighters quota (FFQ)/tribal quota (TQ). Quota applicants must add a extra key word of Quota at last of the SMS and send 16222 number.

1. Successful applicants will be informed date, time, seat plan of admission test by University website, Print Electronic Media.

2. Successfully requested admission seekers have to bring their HSC/equivalent registration card with 2 attested photocopy of registration card, 2 copies of attested color photograph. Applicants have to write their Name and Roll Number (received through SMS) backside of photographs in Bangla & English. Photographs must attach through stapler in left side top of 2 photocopies of registration card. Applicants must write Name & Roll Number in registration card photocopies.
3. The University will keep one copy of registration card photocopy and give one copy to candidate as Admit Card.
4. No one will participate admission test without registration Card.
5. Applicants must use black pen during admission test.
6. Mobile Phone is not allowed in the exam hall.
