Islamic University is a top public universities in Bangladesh and the largest seat of higher education in the south-west. It is a major international center for proper integration of Islamic Studies at the General Studies and Science Studies and modern technology. The university offers both local and international students with the facilities of graduate studies, research and postgraduate education. The quality of education is high and facilities, both academic and extracurricular activities are of good quality. This is a guided campus where academic and administrative buildings, residential halls and gymnasium, cafeteria and auditorium are central to all self-contained in a 175-acre site Shantidanga-Dulalpur, beside the Kushtia-Khulna highway and about 24 miles south and 22 kilometers north of the Kushtia district Jhenidah respectively peoples.
Islamic University, which started its academic activities on June 28, 1986 now has about 10,000 regular students studying in 22 academic departments in five faculties. The main objective for the establishment of the Islamic University is "to provide instruction in theology and other fields of Islamic studies and comparative jurisprudence and other branches of knowledge in Graduatge and graduate level university deems appropriate and to provide research including post-doctoral research and training for advancement and dissemination of knowledge.
